So I’m 32 years old, very active and feel healthy, my cholesterol is high though, over 200, and my risk is 4.4 when the average is 3.5 (that’s what I was told by my doctor) I’m 5’8, and I am a bit overweight, about 195Lb, so I’ve been working out, and staying active but now I’m on a diet, I was told by my nurse practitioner to come back in 3 months for a follow up. So here’s the question and the deal, today I was denied health insurance through primerica, the reason for denial stated that it was what the physician put on his/her report, I don’t know what that report is or what it says, and I had to write a letter demanding the report that got me denied. My labs other than my cholesterol was all good and in the normal ranges, I suffer from severe anxiety and depression, so waiting to hear back has been driving me up the wall. Additionally when i signed up for my life insurance, I accidentally gave the wrong doctor’s name, and I also listed new medications for my anxiety and depression that I wasn’t taking and still not taking, I heard that being on new medication can sometimes deny you for life insurance, so that is a possibility. But anyway, I hope someone who reads this and has experience and knowledge about why this must be. I have all of my medical labs through email and they all just talk about my severe depression and anxiety and bad cholesterol, so it’s not like they’re withholding medical problems and wouldn’t tell me about them. I’m just really discouraged and I hate playing the waiting games on things like this because my anxiety will spiral me out of control. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
