SBMA Preventive Services Only – PureRx Prescriptions Discount

I got the SBMA preventive services only plan through my employer which provides MEC. However, on my insurance card, there’s a PureRx discount for prescriptions. The card lists out the Rx group, BIN, and PCN, but not the member ID because “it’s just a coupon, you don’t have an account with PureRx”. However, whenever I try to apply the discount at chain pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens etc) they always ask for a member ID even for a discount. Furthermore, I called PureRx to confirm the discount information, and they were not able to pull anything from the Rx group I provided. I called SBMA just to be told that I had to check in with every pharmacy to see if the discount applies, instead of them having a list of in-network locations.

Really confused and frustrated by this. Between this and the lack of nearby providers for preventive care, I want to switch insurance but unfortunately that is the most affordable coverage I could find. Anybody on the same boat? I live in CA but my employer’s based in GA btw.
