38yo student, will have job 02/2024 – any options?

I am a 38 years woman in Virginia. I recently quit working full-time (now only as-needed at my current job with no option of benefits) as I am a full-time student in nursing school with an expected graduation date of December. I did just accept a nursing job offer with an expected start date of February 2024 (provided I pass my nursing boards which I should also be taking in February 2024). My health insurance runs out in a few days and COBRA is over $800 a month. I should be eligible for insurance at my nursing job in April 2024 (again, provided I passed my boards the first time, and everything goes as expected). My monthly income is now about $800 a month before taxes. I live with my boyfriend and pay him a couple hundred dollars a month for rent. I do have several mental health conditions (garden-variety depression, anxiety, ADHD) and medications that I can pay for out of pocket but nothing really medical beyond an IUD I had placed about a year ago.

do I qualify for Medicaid? Is it worth it to try and get it? Is there any type of student insurance option for someone my age? I feel overwhelmed.
