Bright Healthcare (TX) Mistake is My Win?

If I am currently uninsured (working part time without benefits and did not secure ACA health insurance during open enrollment) and I need to have surgery before open enrollment next year, can I quit my part time job to join another with benefits to gain health insurance? Do I need to wait til 2023?

So my insurance sent me a letter saying they messed up their original listing of a super catastrophic plan on the Healthcare.gov marketplace. The letter states I now qualify for special enrollment and can change my plan if I wish. I had already unfortunately used the Super Catastrophic plan on a surgery and the bills are racking up.

The letter also said that if I stayed within their company, my payments, deductibles, etc would stay intact. I called to double check this and they confirmed. They also let me know the providers I used are still in network.

I ended up switching to a Super Silver plan retroactively, which takes my Max Out of Pocket from $8700 to $1600. None of the representatives would outright tell me that I was going to get some money back, but I’m assuming after they go backwards and readjust everything, it was a smart move to make right?

Does anyone have experience or advice on this? Will I need to call every provider to get a reimbursement on overpayments?

TL;DR Retroactively switched health insurance plan from $8700 MOOP to $1600MOOP. Will I get money back?
