Double Billed on Baby’s birth

So I need some help.

Back in August of 2021, my wonderful wife gave birth to a wonderful baby. My wife is younger than 26 and is still covered by her dad’s insurance which is really good since he works for the government and is through Federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield. My insurance is less good but my wife is on it and is through CIGNA.

In preparation for my wife’s birth she contacted both of our insurances and coordinated them with Blue Cross/Blue Shield as her Primary and mine (CIGNA) as the secondary. However months later we get a bill from CIGNA for thousands of dollars as though they were my wife’s sole insurance. So we go back and forth between the two different insurances and the hospital and they ask us to mail the explanation of benefits to each other to sort it out.

So we do. Multiple times. And it’s been months of trying to sort this out and countless phone calls. Getting fed up, I pull up the different bills we’ve received from CIGNA and start combing through the EOB on everything we’ve ever gotten. Now obviously after having a kid, there were a lot of various bills but now I find that they sent us several bills which seem like absolute BS. There are more bills in my wifes name that are charged as though CIGNA is her primary, but there’s also a bill for all three of us (me, wife, child) for $500 each a week after the birth. The EOB Except I haven’t had any sort of medical treatments or anything in the last decade.

This has been months of back and forth with the insurance and I am so fed up about the lack of clarity and nothing getting fixed. What can I do to get this resolved?
