[GA] Marketplace never sent info to Medicaid…?

I tried to reenroll in coverage for 2024 on 11/06/23, my eligibility determination letter said my son and I might qualify for Medicaid and that our information was sent to Georgia for determination and to await their response…we never heard anything. No request for information, no determination, nothing.

We have called multiple times and only got someone on the phone on 11/16/23, but she couldn’t provide us any assistance and sent us through to an automated menu which then said to leave a message and someone would call back. No one ever called back.

Today I finally went in person since no one answers the phone or calls back only to find out that our there is no pending Medicaid application for us, they never received the information from the Marketplace, and I need to apply and wait 30-45 days for determination.

I can’t proceed with a marketplace plan without a determination from Medicaid (from what I can tell), deadline for 01/01/24 coverage is Friday, I have monthly prescriptions that require frequent lab tests at the doctor and don’t want a lapse in coverage, my son has an upcoming sleep study that we have already had to wait months for…I just don’t know what to do.

We already don’t qualify for a tax premium and have paid full price for coverage all year…I don’t mind paying for coverage, I just want to make sure we don’t have a lapse in coverage next year.

How do I continue my coverage until I receive a determination?
