I am resigning from my Federal job for a part-time job in the private sector that does not offer any benefits. What health insurance options do I have?

I’m in my late 20s and will be starting graduate school very soon. I just recently quit my federal job for reasons that I don’t want to go into detail on here and will be starting a part-time position at a private company. I feel that the part-time job is more relevant to my career path and will help me juggle school with work. The only downside is that the pay is very low ($16.20/hr) and they do not give you benefits until you’ve worked for at least a full year with them.

My federal job offers temporary continuation of coverage (TCC) for employees who voluntarily separate. It offers you coverage for an additional 18 months after separation; the only caveat is that it is much more expensive than the regular coverage I received while I was still a federal employee (I was insured with Kaiser Permanente). I fear that I will not be able to afford it with my lower income now. I also still live with and am financially supported by my parents. What other affordable options for health insurance exist for me at this time?
