Made mistake in Medical History and denied coverage because of it.

Howdy everyone,

I am trying to get a diagnosis/sleep study done for narcolepsy, but first I had to get one done to test for sleep apnea to prove that was not the issue.

The test came back negative for sleep apnea but coverage was denied because

>"You must have excessive sleepiness that is not caused by other more common sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) or insufficient sleep syndrome"

It then goes on to explain that "Insufficient Sleep Syndrome is a problem where you are not sleeping enough at night", and google seems to tell me that this isn't a medical issue but a personal issue, such as having bad sleep habits and going to bed super late, and that seems to be the reason coverage was denied.

However after learning this I believe the "Insufficient Sleep" listed in Medical History is a mistake, as I took it to mean I am always tired and therefore need more sleep, not that I had bad sleep habits. Now that I know that I feel there should be no issue in getting coverage, were this mistake corrected and "Insufficient Sleep" removed from medical history.

So my question is, is there a way to correct this mistake in an appeal process or do I have to start all over?

Thank you for your help
