I am currently a graduate student in the state of Vermont where all my money comes from either government or personal loans. I currently am on my parents health insurance but will lose access in a few months when I turn 26. I am not a registered state of Vermont resident (I file taxes but my license is still in a different New England state, my car registration is still in that state). I need insurance coverage legally but am unsure if I would have to change my status to a resident in order to qualify for Medicaid. I make technically no non-loan income. I will be finishing school in a year and then starting a job when I will get health insurance and my license will be expiring so I will likely renew in whatever state I end up in since I will be there for at least 4-6 years. In the qualifications it said be a state of Vermont resident or US citizen. Any advice I plan to call but the process of changing my license and car information will take ages I do not have (I work 65-75 hours a week for the next two months at least)
