My Provider’s Office says they haven’t received any money from my Insurance Company, even though it’s confirmed to have been sent. Should I be worried?

To clarify…

All of my claims for my many visits since the beginning of the year are 100% processed and complete.

The money for those visits has been paid to the provider’s office by my insurance company via electronic transfer. I have confirmed this.

Yet, my Provider’s Office says they have not received any of these payments from my insurance company. They have no record of these transfers whatsoever.

Thus I still owe a LOT of money that should’ve already been paid off…

I’m going to establish a 3-way call between me and agents from both parties on Monday in attempt to resolve this issue — but in the meantime…

Should I be worried?

I’m hoping it’s just a simple miscommunication

but could it be something worse? — could it lead to consequences I’m responsible for?

I’m just getting very scared and anxious about the whole situation — seeing all the money that’s owed, which both parties seemed to have just lost (electronic) track of?
