No advice needed just frustrated

My wife's new job doesn't offer health insurance. Getcoverednj.com needed a letter from Medicaid saying we didn't have Medicaid. However, we did have Medicaid from the pandemic.

We were told we were being removed from Medicaid 5/1. Ok, it never happened. I spoke to a deputy commissioner at Medicaid and she said we qualify for Medicaid for another entire year.

Ok great. I got a letter yesterday, guess what? We are being removed from Medicaid now 6/1. Awesome. I have no backup and the Marketplace will take longer than 5 days to accept me.

I go to the Marketplace anyway, because 6/15, 7/1 whatever is better than never. Well, awesome we have such a limited subsidy now that if we choose to get health insurance, it will be just about what we gross.

My wife just went to the ER this past week with pneumonia. She had two emergency brain surgeries in 2017. She is diabetic and has chronic pancreatitis.

I need testing for MS. I'm losing function in my hands and I can't walk well. I already just canceled a gastro appointment for 6/6, that I made in November under old insurance, but the group took Medicaid as well. Gastro is an issue, but not a major issue, I'll deal. I'm trying to get disability and have some appointments coming up I need to do so.

I'm just frustrated. The most crazy thing is one of my wife's main job functions is to get Senior Citizens on Medicaid. She works at a Senior Center. Meanwhile her job doesn't offer insurance and we can't stay on Medicaid.

My State Senator's office has been helping me for months now. That's how we got the deputy commissioner involved. I'll contact them again after the holiday.
