Overcharged for global maternity (CPT 59400)?

My wife's OB charged our aetna insurance around $6k, despite having less than usual # of prenatal visits (due to a long travel overseas). Had a total of 1 prenatal visit + 5 routine visits. And the first prenatal visit was already paid for at the time. Ultrasounds we paid for separately for each visit.

In addition, the OB's role during the uncomplicated vaginal delivery at the hospital (where her clinic is) was virtually non-existent. Her presence lasted a good 60 seconds saying "push push push" and then disappeared to see other patients. The funny thing is how the nurses kept hyping us in the beginning how we were lucky that our OB was on site during labor.

CPT 59400 covers postpartum. My wife has now fully recovered and feels postpartum check-up will be useless.

Fortunately, Aetna is covering 90% of the OB's ridiculous claim. Still, I highly suspect that we are getting shafted here and want to hear from the more experienced. Thank you
