UHC denies to cover preventative bloodwork (CBC, lipid panel, Glucose etc)

(29 Female in Kansas) I recently went in for my annual wellness physical where my doctor took blood for various things. Bloodwork done: CBC Panel Lipids (LDL/HDL cholesterol etc) Hemoglobin A1C Metabolic panel (Glucose, WBC, RBC, etc) Urinalysis (can identify UTI) Vitamin D test Thyroid test (I have hashimotos)

I have been out of range and had abnormal results for my Lipids, Urinalysis, thyroid, and vitamin D last year during my exam

I was very surprised to see UHC will not be covering the full bill from Labcorp and instead, I will have to cover the deductible of the bill. UHC did cover the full doctors appointment.

I disputed the claim and UHC acknowledged the labwork is preventative but UHC maintains all of the labs done are not Included in the labwork they allow under preventative services. They say I will have to reach the deductible for bloodwork and they recommended I Look at the site before agreeing to future services so that I am not confused again.

The thing is, I did look at the site. specifically the bloodwork section under preventative services and it states:

" Labs done during or as part of your well exam, including a complete blood count (CBC) and bloodwork used to check cholesterol levels and diabetes markers are likely always going to be covered. However, other blood chemistry tests (like kidney or liver function and vitamin D or iron levels) are not considered preventive care"

Mind you, my benefits say preventative care is 100% covered…

When I cited this to the chat bot lady, she said: "It is covered but under your lab benefit instead of your preventive services benefit unfortunately…I understand how the site can be misleading and I apologize."

The website also provides my scenario: "Situation 6 A woman has an annual wellness exam and receives blood tests to screen for iron, kidney or liver function, in addition to a urinalysis. Answer: If the physician orders lab work during a preventive care visit some of the tests may be covered as preventive care, such as a cholesterol screening. However, other blood chemistry panels like iron, kidney or liver function and urinalysis, would not be covered as preventive care. These are not considered services covered without cost, under the preventive care guidelines."

I've already paid hundreds this year due to my sprained ankle and autoimmune disorder so any help/tips would be appreciated. Do we agree with UHC or should I appeal again? Is this a coding issue?

Thanks!
