Unauthorized e consult, am I on the hook?

I previously agreed to my midwife doing an e consult, however the claim for it was denied by my insurance (cpt 99451) because "reimbursement is not provided for this service" and I have to pay out of pocket for it. I decided not to agree to any more of them.

However today she did another e consult without telling me that it would be an e consult, maybe I should have known because at our last appointment a few days ago she said she would " talk to the doctors" , but previously she had specified that she was going to do an e consult and that I would be responsible if my insurance didn't cover it, she didn't do this at my last appointment. Today I followed up to see what was up and a few hours after I messaged, I saw an e consult note pop up on my account. It even says

"Patient Consent Obtained: yes – Interprofessional eConsult was discussed at length today, 5/24/2023, with patient or authorized caregiver and they have agreed to participate in this benefit. They understand the patient may be responsible for copayments/cost sharing."

Which isn't true at all, no one talked to me about this today or at all. Will I be able to get the hospital to waive this? What can I say, will they believe me or just think I'm lying about not giving consent?
