Using Last Job’s Insurance for Charges from one year ago?

Hello, I received a comprehensive STI screening at a FQHC back in December 2021. To my understanding the screening was always free or low charge as it was funded under a LGBTQ+ grant since the health center was a non-profit. However, I was actively working for a company and was insured, and provided my insurance card. Turns out the lab company billed me directly for over $300. I still haven't paid the charges. I am working for a different company now with a different health insurance plan. Is it possible to 1) retroactively apply my insurance that I had at the time of the services and billing, or 2) provide my current insurance to cover those charges? I'm not sure what to do, but I was baffled that insurance didn't cover any of those charges, especially considering the last time I got the comprehensive screening, it was totally free. Now Labcorp won't stop blowing up my phone. Any advice on how to navigate my insurance with this $300+ charge?
