Clarification of Fred Edmond and Andy Knudsen’s Executive Leadership Roles

Our best intentions to communicate effectively sometimes go awry. For a company that works hard to deliver clear, transparent, and frank communications, today’s agency communication announcing Andy Knudsen’s promotion missed the mark. With Andy’s promotion, he assumes my former responsibilities as President while maintaining his existing roles of Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary. Andy’s new role is a strategic step to support succession planning in critical roles within the company. In sharing this announcement, we should have stated that I will continue to serve Frankenmuth Insurance and our valued agency partners as the company’s CEO.

I am grateful to the agency partners who reached out with questions. Your concern exemplifies the strong partnerships and friendships we have built over the years. I assure you I’m not going anywhere soon, and I have big plans for the future of our great company. An oversight such as this also reinforces our quest for and commitment to continuous improvement.
