England to Return to Plan A Following Covid-19 Booster Success

The government has declared that England will revert to Plan A Covid-19 restrictions on January 27, 2022.

On the 8th of December 2021, the government’s Plan B imposed more limitations. The NHS was able to quickly extend the booster programme and analyse the developing coronavirus Omicron variant thanks to these efforts. The vaccination program’s effectiveness enables a cautious return to Plan A.

The government will no longer require people to work from home as of Wednesday, January 19th. Employers will have the last say on whether or not staff should return.Face coverings are no longer recommended in classrooms for both staff and students as of Thursday, January 20th

From Thursday, 27th January:

The NHS COVID Pass will no longer be legally needed for venues and events, but it will be available on a voluntary basis.In no circumstance will face coverings be required by law. They are, however, nevertheless suggested in busy and enclosed areas where individuals may come into touch with strangers.The national guidance on face-covering usage in common places in school settings will be removed by the Department of Education.
