Plymouth Rock Celebrates Return of Baseball With Championship Trophies and Baseball’s Greatest Rivalry

Red Sox and Yankees most recent championship trophies make stops at Plymouth Rock Boston and New Jersey office locations to kick off the new baseball season

Employees of Plymouth Rock Assurance kicked off the 2023 baseball season last week with two rivals on the diamond, the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.

In celebration of the return of baseball, Plymouth Rock worked together with its official partners the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees to arrange for the teams’ most recent championship trophies to visit two of the company’s offices in Boston and Woodbridge, New Jersey.

Each office hosted a game day party for employees, which included ball park-inspired food like hot dogs and popcorn, delicious desserts, and the opportunity for employees take pictures with the trophy.

“We’re in a unique position as a company to be fans and official team partners with both the Red Sox and the Yankees,” said Mary Sprong, Chief Human Resource Officer, Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation. “It’s a great perk for our employees who are fans of the teams – and baseball fans in general – to have the championship trophies in the office to kick off the new season. It’s always exciting to bring unique experiences to our employees. It’s even better when we can partner with two of our favorite teams.”

In 2021, Plymouth Rock launched a homerun partnership with the Sox, becoming the team’s official auto and home insurance provider, and affixed the Plymouth Rock logo atop Fenway Park’s world-famous Green Monster. The Red Sox Auto and Home Insurance Program offers customers special fan perks including discounts on home game tickets, ball park tours, and insurance benefits including expanded use of Plymouth Rock’s Get Home Safe® taxi and rideshare reimbursement, and more.

The program delivers fan benefits like savings on home game tickets, behind-the-scenes stadium tours, and discounts on food and beverages at Yankee Stadium.
