What Car Do You Hope Dies In 2024?

The coming of a new year may be looked at as a time of rebirth, renewal, re-whatever. That’s all well and good. People lay out the good and positive things they want to see in the new year. Well, that’s not what’s going on here, and it’s what leads us to today’s question. We want to know what car you hope dies in 2024.

What Car Company Has the All-Time Best Logo?

Cars are killed off every year for one reason or another, so which ones do you hope to go to the great junkyard in the sky this year? What car has long overstayed its welcome? What car deserves a better replacement? What car are you just sick of seeing? I shouldn’t really say we aren’t doing anything positive here, because maybe these cars dying will add something positive to your life. I don’t know. It’s all about perspective at the end of the day.

Anyway, if you’re asking me what car I’d like to see die in 2024 (which you aren’t), it’s the Kia Soul. That little crossover/hatchback thing is my enemy. Everyone should have an enemy. I actually have two: Steve DaSilva and the Kia Soul. Both are awful, but we will concentrate on the Soul. Ever since it hit the scene over a decade ago with those goddamn hamsters, it has been a pox on the car community. I truly believe you are a goober if you own one of these cars, and I think one day we’re going to look at them the way we look at the Chrysler PT Cruiser. It’s just a hateful little shitbox. There is nothing to like about this car, from its 2006-era styling to its uninspiring drivetrain and its lackluster interior. BLEH. We, as a society, will be better off when the Kia Soul is no more.
