Whats The Worst Automotive Opinion You've Heard?

The automotive world is multifaceted, layered and complex. That complexity can be both a strength and a weakness, especially in regards to the things that people say or believe about cars or automotive related topics. When it comes to automotive opinions, sometimes it seems like there’s more bad ones than good ones.

We’re Driving the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, What Do You Want to Know?

One of the worst car opinions I’ve constantly heard over the years — and it’s almost more of an assumption — is that a great deal or cheap price on a car automatically makes that car great. It doesn’t. Take the Subaru Solterra for instance. We tested one when it first debuted. It’s alright, but it’s not good. The Solterra pricey, the range isn’t great, and as our review pointed out, it seems to only exist to get faithful Subaru owners to switch over to an EV.

Some might be enticed with a recent lease deal on the Solterra. Now through the end of April, if you’re qualified you can lease a Solterra for just $249 a month for 36 months, with just the first month due at signing and no security deposit required. It’s an awesome deal. The problem is that no matter how good the math comes out in your favor, you still end up driving off the lot in a Solterra.

Now we ask you, Jalopnik reader. What’s the worst automotive opinion you’ve heard? Dig deep, because we want to hear it all.
