Hello, I’m hoping to get some advice here regarding my moms job benefit package

My mom passed away 2 months ago and I’ve went and filed the life insurance claim with an hr person at her job. I’ve also dealt with filing her jobs retirement account to close it. I’m making this post 1 month today from when I’ve filed these claims

I’ve had multiple attempts to contact hr and for them to reach out regarding the claim but they never gave me a reply. Even with re issuing certain checks such as the remaining of her vacation pay they’re giving me trouble on figuring it out. It wasn’t until I spoke to the payroll director for them to re issue certain checks according to my moms trust/will that I got help. Even today being 2 weeks I’ve still yet to get any update about the couple grand check (around 5k) which will help me a lot right now considering I need to pay the mortgage for the month.

My question is how long on average should I expect for me to receive these funds? I’m currently dealing with all of my moms expenses by myself as I’m the only child. I’m also still in college as I’m already broke as I am I’m starting to worry about how I’m going to pay for the mortgage and other things. I still have plans to go back to college but I took the quarter off in hopes of getting all of this settled before I go back. I hope someone here can give me some advice because as hard as everything else is already for me not having to deal with this anymore will greatly help me with just focusing on finishing my last year in school and hopefully moving on.
