Arteva Funding hires new business development manager

Independent premium finance company Arteva Funding has announced the appointment of Katrina Dawes as its new business development manager (BDM), effective September 19. She will be based in Melbourne.

Dawes joins Arteva with close to 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having spent the last 11 years working for premium funders. She was also genesis account manager at Allianz for more than eight years. A statement from the company said she brings “business development proficiency and an in-depth knowledge of the local and regional insurance community” to her new role.

“Katrina is well-respected in the industry and will further strengthen our team with additional experience and relevant skills,” said Bob Dodd, Arteva’s chief communication officer. “This is an exciting time for Arteva as we expand our team to support the growth we are experiencing as we bring on new broker partners.”

“I’m excited to be joining the Arteva team and working with our broker partners to provide seamless funding solutions to their clients,” added Dawes.

Arteva has made several new appointments recently. Tanya Williams assumed the role of business development manager in Queensland earlier this month, while Bronwyn Blain joined the company as its new head of people and culture last August. Sue McNeill was also appointed to the newly created role of head of sales for the Southern Region back in July.
