Austbrokers’ specialist life insurance division will start providing advice to Australian Unity Personal Financial Services clients as part of a partnership between the two companies.

The partnership, announced today, authorises Austbrokers Life to deliver financial advice under Australian Unity’s Australian financial services licence.

“Financial guidance is a core component of what we do, enabling our expert team to advise Australians through life,” Austbrokers Life MD Ben Donald said.

“Receiving this support from Australian Unity is a strong validation for the quality of advice we provide.

“It will enable our business to benefit Australians in new ways with a more comprehensive advice offering.”

Austbrokers Life has close to 9000 clients and helped its clients to secure more than $37 million in benefit payments in the last financial year.

The AUB-owned business offers a wide range of life advice including for income protection, trauma, total and permanent disability, employee benefits and group insurance.

As part of the partnership, Australian Unity Personal Financial Services will provide support to Austbrokers Life that will strengthen the quality of advice provided.

“Australian Unity is delighted to partner with Austbrokers Life, an organisation that is likeminded in its deep commitment to delivering quality advice and financial solutions that support the wellbeing of Australian households,” Australian Unity Advice EGM Matt Brown said.
