CASE STUDY: Commercial Insurance

Julie Richards

The Association for Travelling Showmen (Northern section) searched online for a more competitive business insurance policy at their renewal. However from their online search of four or five companies, they were initially unable to find any alternative quotes because of their connection to the entertainment sector. Luckily, they called the BIBA Find Insurance Service and found cover through the first specialist broker that they were transferred to. Julie Richards, their office manager, said: “We have to have compulsory business insurance and without the specialist broker we would have paid a lot more. As a not-for-profit organisation helping showmen, we would have had to make cuts to our business to pay the renewal premium. Thankfully BIBA helped us find SJL, they were absolutely brilliant, got our cover for a lot less and gave us some business-critical advice on our employers’ and public liability certificates.”
