FCIC expands public transportation coverage into new state


First Chicago Insurance Company (FCIC) has announced the expansion of its Public and Specialty Transportation commercial auto insurance program into New Jersey. The program is also available in Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana (limo only), Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

“After thorough market analysis, FCIC’s Public and Specialty Transportation commercial automobile insurance program was expanded to meet the commercial auto needs of this niche market,” said Mark Bissonette, FCIC vice president of commercial lines underwriting. “FCIC offers customized packages for a variety of classes in the public transportation segment, from large fleet operations to individual owner-operators. In New Jersey, the program limits offerings to vehicles seating 13 passengers or fewer. The program offers a variety of discounts, billing plans, coverages and other features.
