PILOT was initially introduced in 2016 as the world’s pioneer online club comparison tool, providing ship owners and operators with comprehensive insights into the International Group (IG) clubs.

The new iteration of PILOT adheres to the original concept of seamless comparison but touts significantly enhanced analytics, Filhet-Allard said. It allows clients to home in on vital data in a format of their choosing. Data updates are also frequent, ensuring clients have access to the most current and precise information concerning their clubs.

For the first time, fixed premium and charterer’s liability insurers have also been incorporated into PILOT. The intention is to encourage non-IG insurers to embrace and contribute to PILOT, thus granting clients a broader view of available options.

“PILOT is key in advising shipowners and operators the best P&I club solutions for them. It will be a key component of the decision-making for our clients, reinforcing our position as leader in marine insurance and specifically P&I,” said Christian Barnabé, Filhet-Allard Maritime managing director.

“PILOT has been very successful over the years, guiding clients in their P&I strategy and we are very proud of launching this new version. It’s a reflection that we do, indeed, think differently and empower clients to support what can be complex decisions with long-term effects,” Latitude Brokers managing director Vanessa Toucas said.
