24 April 2023

This year’s award finalists in FinTech Australia’s “Excellence in Insurtech” Finnie Award category, which is sponsored by IAG Firemark Ventures, have been announced.

Butter Insurance, technology solutions provider Credit Clear, Downsizer, transport industry claims manager FreightSafe, home insurer Honey Insurance, Hollard-backed Open Insurance and uBind are all in the running, as is last year’s winner pay-per-kilometre car insurer Koba Insurance.

Butter Co-founder Cassie Bell is also a finalist in the emerging fintech leader of the year category. Butter launched subscription cover for nominated possessions like smart phones, ear pods, watches and laptops last year.

“So proud of our team and a big thanks to FinTech Australia, we’re super grateful to be included,” Ms Bell said.

FinTech Australia is a national association for the local startup community and works with government and industry to create a supportive environment.
