Fortitude Reinsurance has made a financial contribution of $100,000 to the 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee, Inc., a notable non-profit focused on enhancing the educational and social development of Black male students.

The donation is strategically allocated, with $75,000 dedicated to college scholarships for graduates of the 100 KINGS Leadership Program. The initiative is designed to lay a solid foundation for young Black men, aiming to boost their academic performance, encourage college enrollment, and foster overall success in life.

The remainder of the funds will be invested in academic enrichment efforts, including programs that prepare students for college and their future careers.

Amanda Stewart, head of employee experience and Fortitude Re 4 Good, sees the donation as a reflection of Fortitude Re’s deep-rooted commitment to supporting educational, mentorship, and leadership development initiatives tailored for underrepresented youth.

“Through their meaningful work in mentorship and education, 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee is making a profound difference in the lives of countless young people, and we are honored to support their efforts to advance inclusion, equity and social change,” Stewart said.

Established in 1991, 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee has been nurturing young Black individuals through an array of programs that encompass mentorship, educational activities, and community service. It operates as a branch of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., an organization founded in 1986 with the mission to enhance the academic and social outcomes for youth in urban communities.
