Howden RE hires Aon’s Tan as Director ASEAN retro & treaty broking

Howden RE, the reinsurance broking arm of the broader Howden broking group, has announced the hire of non-marine retrocession broking expert Doreen Tan from Aon, who joins the company as a Director.

Doreen Tan has joined Howden Reinsurance Brokers as Director, ASEAN Treaty / Retrocession, based in Singapore.

Prior to the move, Tan had spent over four years at Aon, working as a Director, Non-Marine Retrocession, APAC within its Aon Reinsurance Solutions division in Singapore.

She has more than a decade of experience working across reinsurance and retrocession broking within the Asia Pacific and South East Asia regions, having worked in both Sydney and Singapore.

A property retrocessional reinsurance specialist for the Asia region, Tan also has experience gained from nearly three years as Head of Analytics/Actuarial Services and Treaty Broker at UIB Asia, plus three years as a treaty reinsurance broker at Guy Carpenter in Sydney and over two years spent as an actuarial analyst at Marsh in Australia.
