Hub bolsters Utah presence
International broker Hub International Limited has announced the acquisition of Salt Lake City-headquartered Dale Barton Agency. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Dale Barton is one of the region’s largest commercial and surety bond brokerages. The firm advises businesses, contractors, motor carriers, subcontractors and specialty contractors. It specializes in construction, transportation and commercial insurance.
The acquisition will support Hub’s specialty practices by bolstering its existing capabilities.
“We are excited Dale Barton, one of the premier surety agencies in the region, is joining Hub,” said Shannon Taylor, president of Hub’s Southern California and Utah region. “Their knowledge and expertise in managing diverse and complex needs, particularly in construction, will benefit our clients.”
The Dale Barton team will join Hub Southern California and Utah as part of the transaction.

Dale Barton is the latest in a string of acquisitions for the global broker. Last week, Hub announced the acquisition of Miami-based AM Insurance Services and California-based Invensure Insurance Brokers.
