NRMA Insurance has forged a partnership with Nine, establishing itself as the premium broadcast partner for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
This marks the first time NRMA has extended its support to a network’s Olympic Games broadcast.
As one of the four premium broadcast partners aligned with Nine’s Olympic Games coverage, NRMA assumes a significant role in this alliance. Nine holds exclusive national audio-visual and radio rights to the games across all its channels, encompassing free-to-air television, digital platforms, and radio.
This strategic partnership, which materialised through collaborative efforts with Initiative Media, aims to bring comprehensive coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to audiences across Australia, constituting the most extensive Olympic Games coverage ever provided by an Australian media outlet.
“We are incredibly proud to be partnering with Nine to help Australians unite as a nation to watch our inspiring athletes compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games,” said NRMA CEO Julie Batch. “Nine’s broadcast of the Olympic Games, one of the world’s most iconic and loved sporting events, is the ideal platform for us to celebrate this milestone for our leading and trusted Australian brand.”
Batch said that the partnership not only ensures a year-round presence but also promises broad national outreach.
“NRMA Insurance is well positioned to help our communities as they get prepared for the future,” she said.
While acknowledging Nine’s anticipation of reaching 98% of Australians through its Olympic Games media program, the campaign spans a spectrum from the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024, initiated last week, to the Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony on Sept. 8, 2024.
