I was terminated and COBRA seems really expensive, since I’m unemployed is there a cheaper health insurance?

Hey all I'm located in California was fired from my job due to poor sales performance and am currently still under my employer's health insurance until the end of the month. COBRA would kick in the start of next month.

The monthly premium to continue under COBRA is a whopping $450 just for the medical. (I'll probably elected to forgo the dental and vision since I'm younger and just got my teeth checked).

Are there any other options for cheaper health insurance since I'm unemployed. I went to the covered CA website and for special enrollment, I would need a qualifying event and according to their website

"Your COBRA coverage is exhausted. Note: Not paying your COBRA premium is not considered loss of coverage."

Does this mean I absolutely HAVE to pay $450 a month for COBRA up until 2024 and I don't have any other cheaper options?

Thank you all
