Medi-cal health plan questions
I just moved to California a few months ago and applied for Medi-cal at the beginning of this month. I was instantly approved and have received my benefits ID card in the mail. On the website my program says “medi-cal” my status says “eligible” and actions needed “none”.
I’m now reading online that once approved you have to chose a plan. I haven’t received anything in the mail about choosing one and the only messages I received are on the Covered California website titled “your eligibility for health care programs”. I can’t view the message. Tapping “view” just brings up a loading circle for half a second and nothing happens. I’ve tried on my phone and laptop.
I guess what I’m asking is if I need to choose a plan or this is it? And if I do need to choose a plan can I do that online or call? Lastly does anyone know what’s up with trying to view my messages on Covered California? I really am not familiar with California health insurance at all, so any info is appreciated. I’ll try to call them as well, but my worried mind has me making a Sunday reddit post…
