The Poplar is a narrower combination of the Marathon/Boulevard ClickTight convertibles and the One4Life all-in-one. It has the more robust and easier-to-use squeeze buttons to open the ClickTight panel.

The Poplar has large, non-removable harness pads that must be used from 22-65 lbs., both rear- and forward-facing, that take the place of the HUGS pads that are on the Marathon and Boulevard seats. The harness pads do interfere with chest clip placement on smaller babies, but they can be tucked behind the headrest out of the way until they are needed for use.

It does have the ability to have an anti-rebound bar attached for rear-facing use, but one is not available at this time. The Poplar S, due in early 2024, will ship with an ARB and upgraded padding.

We’ll have more on the Poplar in a forthcoming review, so be sure to watch for that. In the meantime, we have a reel and stories showing features and a rear-facing installation in highlights (under Britax and Previews) on our Instagram account @carseatblog. Please give us a follow!

Thank you to Britax for for providing the Poplar used for this preview!
